Bowled Over Welcomes .....

Bobby Stardust started doing standup in the summer of 1976 (phew what a scorcher!) and quickly made a name for himself qualifying to 'Finalist' of the 1979 East Midlands heat of 'New Faces'. He was ITV's original choice for quizmaster on 'Celebrity Squares' but he was on holiday in Torremolinos at the time, so the gig went to Lenny Bennett. Then in 1981 the 'Alternative' comedy movement exploded and Bobby's unique blend of 'not quite sexist, not quite racist' humour was forever condemned to the comedy archives. He now lives in Kirkby-in-Ashfield with his wife Jean, and son Lawrence, trying to get gigs.

Guy Manners has been doing standup since April 2010, both as himself but also as alter-ego Bobby Stardust. His own comedy is all based on his (painfully true) experiences as a single man in his late 30's and his somewhat unconventional upbringing. Being Bobby Stardust just gives him an excuse to do jokes about; "...the size of black bloke's cocks!"
